His name was Danny Johnson and he played all the lead riffs on this song not Rick hes now with steppenwolf

I had the pleasure of seeing Mr Derringer a few time in a small club back in the 1980's the man always delivered a truely talent player.He will always be one of my favorites.Rick always played from the heart.Check out this video called martch guitar presentation 2 i'm sure you'll love it.

Too bad this video doesn't have more hits. I never really appreciated his voice until I heard this. Thanks merrilltim for the tip. I just ordered some of his stuff from this era....can't wait until it comes to hear the rest. This is now one of my favorite songs.

It is from the only record his band Derringer with another great guitar player (forgot name). THe cover art has only the name Derringer and some bolts in the corners. The ablum is great my favorite by Rick.
