I just got mine. It can charge any rechargeable battery as long as it is NiCd or NiHM. Don't put regular Duracell in there. You can charge Duracell rechargeable kind only.

How do you change the charging current ? this is one blunder to figure out. There is no button for that.

I can't get this unit to perform diferent charge rate at all. can someon show me on YouTube how its done ?

I've had one of these for awhile it's been great! My only complaint is the C and D battery adapters don't assemble in a very solid way, but once you get the adapters into the flashlight or whatever you are trying to power, it's no big deal.
