This is what ticks me off about folks who say Genesis "sold out" their progressive roots; songs like this show that they never did. Did their sound evolve and become more pop friendly? Sure. And it got them a lot of new generation fans that might have otherwise paid them no attention at all. Critics might have hated the transition, and maybe their older fans felt betrayed, but a whole lot of people love them nonetheless. 44 years ain't a bad run, eh Oasis?

For example, Noel Gallagher has said, "People f***ing hate c**ts like Phil Collins - and if they don't, they f***ing should," and "Why did he sell so many records in the '80s? I mean, f***ing hell," and "You don't have to be great to be successful. Look at Phil Collins." Noel doesn't like them or their music? Fine, that's cool. I'm just pointing out that 44 years is a good run for a "boring, talentless hack."
