Trials, Troubles, and Tribulations, performed by Wayne Henderson, Martha Spencer, and Jackson Cunningham (www.waynehenderson.org; www.whitetopmountaineers.com). In concert at the Institute of Musical Traditions(www.imtfolk.org) Monday Night Concert, Rockville, MD, USA on May 10th, 2010.
Wayne Henderson's top-notch finger-picking is a source of great pleasure and pride to his friends, family, and neighbors in Grayson County, Virginia; his guitar playing has also been enjoyed at Carnegie Hall, in three national tours of "Masters of the Steel-String Guitar," and in seven nations in Asia. In addition to his reputation as a guitarist, Henderson is a luthier of great renown. He is a recipient of a 1995 National Heritage Award presented by the National Endowment for the Arts. He produces about 20 instruments a year, mostly guitars, but he is almost as well-known for the mandolins he has made.
Martha Spencer, from the famous Spencer family band, and Jackson Cunningham, multi-instrumentalist virtuoso, sing and play old-time country tunes on guitar and mandolin here, and many other instruments on their CDs.
As always, we gratefully thank the Maryland State Arts Council (www.msac.org), the Montgomery County Arts & Humanities Council (www.creativemoco.com), and all our other donors, supporters, and volunteers.

Is there anyway you could post the chords for this? With or without capo

What a fine version of this haunting song. Beautiful harmonies, beautiful playing. I know it from a recording of Joe Val and the New England Bluegrass Boys.

I heard E.C. and Orna live on a small stage in Pennsylvania in 1977. I am sure this song was among the ones they played. I got a record and their autographs.
