First of all, are they really "together"? I mean, I heard that they don't even live together. She has her politics; he has his acting. I've never seen them very affectionate with each other, even in their photos. They appear to be lifelong friends.
If he's a normal heterosexual man, surely he has faced temptation from sexy, hot female costars. Has he ever had an affair? If not, I would wonder if he was truly gay.

@HiyaDolly nope! it's called a public image they both hate being in the limelight... i REALLY do not like your judgmental attitude. and no i'm not lumpy or a cow or middle aged i'm 29 and though i'm a geek and i wear glasses I do Irish Dancing and i'm pretty fit. while i admit i am slightly jealous i would not do a single thing to jeopardise their relationship if i had the chance

You guys are unbelievable! I LOVE Alan, and would snatch him away from her in a split second if I could! But, you have to realize that those 2 fell in love over 40 years ago. I'm sure she was pretty hot back then! And a good man won't dump the woman he loves just because she gets old (rignt along with him)!!! I love him MORE because of this!

I am a hugeeee Alan fangirl and yes, I would love to be in Rima's spot, but they look happy together and have been for 34 years. I'm glad he found someone like her who he has spent more than half his life with and obviously loves with all his heart. I'm happy for the both of them. I'm not going to be like the typical fangirl saying "OMG that bitch took my Alan away" or something like that. He's happy, and any fan who really cares about him and loves him would be happy for him as I am.
