Ninurta (Nin Ur: Lord of the Earth/Plough) in Sumerian and Akkadian mythology was the god of Nippur, identified with Ningirsu with whom he may always have been identical. In older transliteration the name is rendered Ninib and in early commentary he was sometimes portrayed as a solar deity.

In Nippur, Ninurta was worshiped as part of a triad of deities including his father, Enlil and his mother, Ninlil. In variant mythology, his mother is said to be the deity Ninhursag.
Ninurta often appears holding a bow and arrow, a sickle sword, or a mace named Sharur: Sharur is capable of speech in the Sumerian legend "Deeds and Exploits of Ninurta" and can take the form of a winged lion and may represent an archetype for the later Shedu.
In another legend, Ninurta battles a birdlike monster called Imdugud (Akkadian Anzu); a Babylonian version relates how the monster Anzu steals the Tablets of Destiny which Enlil requires to maintain his rule. Ninurta slays each of the monsters later known as the "Slain Heroes" (the Dragon, the Gypsum, the Palm Tree King, Lord Saman-ana, the bison-beast, the scorpion-man, the seven-headed serpent), and finally Anzu is eventually killed by Ninurta who delivers the Tablet to his father, Enlil.

  • @EdXXI Later a small Summer came to be, it was Shomron in Holy land

  • The Tablets of Destiny are a rich part of Mesopotamian mythology. They have not been devised as a new religion to follow. But because the Sumerians were the first culture to write down their language, it has enabled historians to understand how these peoples lived their daily lives.

  • @hilariousbollywood lol new??? Are you serious? In comparison Islam is only 1400 years old. This religion is over 6000 years old! Now I don't believe in imaginary friends, but if we're going to nit pick, I believe you would be following the "new freaky religion". In fact, a lot of themes and concepts of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam can be traced back to Sumer beliefs.

  • @hilariousbollywood Thousands of years ago there were many Gods. The Abramic faiths are recent the ink isn't dried yet. They were taken from Sumer. But it starting to look like India was older by a millienium more than Egypt. Abhramic faiths are so yesterday we are talking about Antiquity and beyond.

  • @EdXXI Tell me more please or links....thanx

  • what is this some sort of new freaky religon...............there is only one god allah and muhamnmed (pbuh) is the messenger of allah

  • I got more evidence . When the former ensi of Umma became the king and conquered all sumerian cities , including Nippur , the "sacred" city of Nippur made a secret deal with Sargon of Akkad , to fight against zugga Si of Umma .That was the end of Sumeria , and the beggining of monotheism

  • @xRevelator This text seems to be the origin of Nippur*s plan to destroy the other 17 sumerian cities , what they actually did through their secret deal with the acadian people.

  • Enlil + Ninli + Ninurta = the same person

    Male+Female=Male/Female=Hermaphrodite deity

Ninurta is 1 god, many names and forms. With hermaphrodite as the main quality of the deity, that is, Ninurta is a bisexual god/goddess.

    Baal+Ashtoreth=Baal/Ashtoreth

    Hermes+Aphrodite=Hermaphrodite

    Enlil + Ninli=Ninurta
