Awesome Video, how did you record the little guy whilst he was in the air?

For most of the shots, the guy was supported by rigging which was painted out in post production using the software 'Motion'.

What compression did you use for Youtube. The quality is amazing!!!! And the animation too!

It was uploaded from an mp4 file. We actually produced this video for a DVD, which was then ripped using Handbrake to mp4 (though could have done it straight to mp4 from FinalCut). The ripped file was 480x368 pixels, about 10MB.

It was filmed using a Canon XL1S, which has a reasonably good lens on it; that's how we got the focus pull looking into the kitchen. It also has good control over shutter speed and aperture which helped with creating a short depth of focus in some of the shots.
