It Was a Very Good Year was composed in 1961 by Ervin Drake, first recorded by Bob Shane of the Kingston Trio, and made famous of course by Frank Sinatra. Please enjoy Liberace playing his interpretation of this dramatic piece. This audio track belongs to UMG and is upload strictly for personal entertainment purposes.

Lyrics & Chords Em F
When I was seventeen it was a very good year, Em
It was a very good year G F
for small town girls and soft summer nights. E
We'd hide from the lights D E
on the village green when I was seventeen. Em F
When I was twenty-one, it was a very good year, Em
it was a very good year G F
for city girls who lived up the stair, E
with perfumed hair D E
that came undone, when I was twenty-one. Em F
When I was thirty-five it was a very good year, Em
it was a very good year G F
for blue blooded girls of independent means. E
We'd ride in limousines D E
their chauffeurs would drive when I was thirty-five. Em F
But now the days are short, I'm in the autumn of the year, Em
and now I think of my life G F
as vintage wine from the old kegs, E
from the brim to the dregs D E
it poured sweet and clear; it was a very good year!

My playlists include music by Lee Liberace, Jon England, Richard Clayderman, Roger Williams, Hoagy Carmichael, Michel Legrand, Art Tatum, Dino Kartsonakis, Errol Garner, Russ Conway, Ferrante & Teicher, Carl Doy, Beegie Adair, Caravelli, Floyd Cramer, Geoff Love, Horst Jankowski, Ronnie Aldrich, Kent Marcum, Stanley Black, David Foster, Claude Bolling, Edison Valencia, and Marrina Waks. There are also many pieces by little known fantastic piano soloists, admired mainly by their YouTube fans. I am looking for videos of Bill Pursell, Felix Slatkin, George Shearing, John Arpin, Norm Geller, Charlie Schaffer, Norman Percival, and Gordon Franks. I would be amiss if I didn't have the greats Del Wood and JoAnn Castle on my page, however, they are only favorited, and not in the playlists as they don't match the genre of my page.

It sounds like you like my vintage romantic pop piano music as much as I do. God bless you for online work. This video "Oh Lord We Worship and Adore You - A Cappella" on musica54321's page is me.
