This is a short, bad quality video clip presenting "The saucer", my latest interactive art/design project.
It features a vibrating aluminium sheet, with salt on it creating patterns depending on the sound frequency.
Sound is generated by a modular synthesizer. The saucer plays sounds, displays lights and patterns as one approches it, using the theremin principle.

The possibilities are infinite and I will upload a long high quality video soon.

  • This is pretty cool. Theremin and cymatics seem to go well together. Looks like a lot of salt though. I await the possible HQ vid.
