@Nomekiller I hope one day Candlemass with Lowe will come again to my city and I'll be there to listen how good he is live. The newcoming DVD (to be released on April 23, get ready!) will include two shows with Lowe, so I'd buy it and listen and compare. He's good, no doubt but in fact his voice is lower than it was when he's young. Less ethereal, more earthy. The same thing with Messiah...
@memmori1 I guess it is. It came with the Best of Album. To be able to keep your voice in shape when you get older is just a matter of maintaining your voice more. Lowe better during the 90´s ? Dude, have you seen him with candlemass lately? I´ve seen them 3 times, and its always astonishing!
@Nomekiller Is this that reunion DVD released in 2002? In most of the stuff there Messiah is OK. Sometimes he really fails to raise his voice high - but I hope he's still able to do it (it is better if he's just lazy to sing as high as he could than he's unable to do it now). I feel sorry for both him and Lowe because they were absolutely astonishing in 1990s but now they are not in their best condition. I love them both but the truth is rather sad.
@memmori1 I guess all vocalists have good and bad times on the stage. But I have one live DVD they were kind enough to include with a best of album, and there he was not good. Its from somewhere between 2002-2004, and when he sings he cut all words you know.. doesnt hold the notes that he sings for very long and thats terribly annoying because thats some of the really good stuff in candlemass´music. And it looked as if he did so because he was to lazy to hold´em!
@Nomekiller Just listen to Live in Stockholm 1990 or any of bootlegs from that era. He was good and he's good even now. I've heard him live after their reunion, and even touched him from the first row of fans in the pit. He looked like a nice guy and very good frontman and I pity that he's no more in the band, although Lowe seems to be a good (in not only) possible replacement .
much better from Messiah

I like Lowe WAYYY better than Messiah, he had a really overacted tone to his voice that I disliked.
