It started in Myth, 'cause Madrigal(one of humanity's last cities) was being sieged.

@88472456, Yup Johnson was an ORION, so was Ssgt. Byrne (from Halo Contact Harvest) and a few others. Because, after the ORIONs were deactivated, they ususally went into certain other branches of the UNSC, so Byrne and Johnson went into the Marines, and the others went to other branches.

@ElWeazel13, well Madrigal was a planet in Halo, probably named after this song, which was made for Myth. It got glassed, yet the UNSC didn't really send troops, so the Madrigal rebels made up a lot of the Insurrectionists.
