  • Oh, this is fantastic!

I was lucky to see and hear him in Chicago, at The Lyric Opera there! Such a beautiful legato, sonorous voice, and impassioned delivery! A very exciting basso! Wild about him! Thank you for this posting! Brings back many splendid memories of his truly riviting performances!

    Bravo, Christoff!

  • What a voice! What a rendition! Titanic artist! Thank you, Ufelan, for sharing this outstanding genius!

  • I guess, its all about "brand name"..... You know it, - you love it.

"Breath control"....., "sonorous voice" - he is literary bleating here....and cutting the phrase mid way to take a breath...

  • Wonderful rendition!! Love this artist .

  • I love this recording. I found it in Canada. The breath control and phrasing are incredible. I've loved Mr Christoff since 1965. I saw his last concert at Carnegie Hall. His voice was unchanged, but he couldn't push a line all the way and had to take a breath.
