state of the art.

Nice good luck post another video about it when you finish it

Go to a commerciale drywall supplier. They carry 20 gage galvinized 6 inch wide 10 feet long metal. Very inexpencive.
A kids bicycle from a yard sale will give you the bearings you need plus other parts. Chain sprockets etc.

as an artist, i think its beautiful. Maybe you can sell put it in a gallery to fund the real thing.

it´s called Darrieus-Rotor
en . wikipedia . org /wiki/Darrieus_wind_turbine
and yes, it needs aerofoil shape

Whats the purpose of this? I think the helix
is the most efficient design. If your trying to make power I would go with that.

Another thing you may want to think about is some kind of support about half way up between the axis of rotation and the blades to combat centrifugal force. Also, most designs like this have cables running from the top to the ground to prevent the top from oscillating.

It's amazing how many different vertical axis turbine designs there are!
I saw one like that but with a savonius in the middle

Thanks for posting. I especially enjoyed your vid because I have never built anything like this and I would like to start. Inspirational...thanks again.
Hey, the blades need an airfoil shape in order to work...
