Located just north of San Diego County, the Carlsbad Flower Fields have earned a place as one of the most popular tourist attractions added to visitors itineraries. It's easy to see why. The big and beautiful Ranunculus blooms blanket acres and acres of endless flower fields to overwhelm any nature lover with many colorful kodak moment opportunities. I opted to walk along through the paths and around the perimeter - while others chose to view them on a tractor ride.
You can also find various Poinsettia species and roses. The mild winter weather makes it ideal for a variety of flowers to flourish and propagate. There is also a sweet pea maze for people to walk through and garden setting walkways.
Take some time to smell the flowers... life is too short.

  • i vacationed this summer at the hotel behind these flower fields, unfortunately it was all dirt wen i went, :(

  • @koolman115 I believe that the flowers die down by that time of year (or they are all harvested before they die out). The best time to see these blooms is Spring time ;-)

  • You took a beautiful video of the flower fields. Very good job! I was there yesterday and had some video clippings I would like to share but it is not as good as yours. Thank you for posting this. It is a recommended place to visit, open every year around this time.

  • I would love to see your angle of the fields - everyone has a unique standpoint from which they recorded. And thanks for your comment

  • @hilololomoa has that been explained yet? I read about all that in the news.

  • I've been going since the 70's, 1 or 2 cars would pull off the road, workers would pick you flowers for a 5 spot, you would see an artist or 2 up in the fields. Now you pay to enter, there are exhibits, a BBQ snack bar, adjacent garden center, gift shop, upscale outlet center, resorts and restaurants. Its interesting to read comments how serene the place is compared to LA and San Diego now. All relative. I enjoy the flowers from the freeway too so I bought a pass today to keep them there.

  • verry NISe!

  • I went to San Diego to visit my family at Easter holidays and they took me to these fantastic fields, it was very nice and uplifting.

  • Thank you for posting this. I think you filmed it a little too fast. I would have liked to relish the beauty more.

  • I was just there last night (memorial day) my girlfriend lives about three miles from there but unfortunately the flowers had already been cut. I do however recomend stopping in to see the flower fields for anyone who is passing through the area Carlsbad is such a beautiful town without the hustle and grind of San Diego L.A. or Orange County.
