Dust devils in Gusev Crater, Mars.
The image sequence is sped up. Actual time between frames from NASA/JPL was about 20 seconds apart, but this gives the viewer a hint of what real motion would look like if you were standing on Mars.
The rover had the ability to capture this event automatically due to new software uploaded to it which was engineered to detect differences in the scene, somewhat like motion detection.
The image is squeezed and stretched so that it will fit on this screen.
