just because something is good for you doesn't mean you can ingest as much of it as you want, as you implied in this vid. vitamin A is also good for you, but at high levels it's toxic.
you said you admire people who think for themselves, which is good, but thinking for yourself comes with the responsibility of doing proper research and becoming as informed as possible.
LOVE coconut oil...and this video. i always thought johnny cakes were like cornbread or corn muffin batter. They do look yum either way with or without. :-)
@hipretty What you saw on the screen was my modification of the Johnny Cake recipe. As you know, I am very big on being creative in the kitchen. Bill Cosby has a beautiful story about cooking: It seems that his friend, Sammy Davis Jr loved to cook, but the problem is that he could never repeat the same recipe twice since each cooking session was a separate culinary work of art even if it were a simple recipe. All good, however. My kind of guy!
@hipretty Your husband is a lucky man. As a big advocate of creative cooking, I just wish more people would do it. There are only three rules: Cook it thoroughly, enjoy being creative and use as little seasoning as possible; one can add salt and pepper but it is difficult to remove seasoning once added. Good to hear from you.
