Is there some reason why they pitch a car against a plane? What is the basis of comparison between the both? This race has no meaning whatsoever.

This all seems a little silly to me. A porche is good at what it`s designed to do. And a Boeing 747 is good at what it is designed to do. Race any decent car against a 747 from one end of a runway to the other and the car will get there first. Try a race between the porshe and the 747 from London to Moscow..... er !

Thats a 747 cargo plane on take off. Air speed of the 747, well over 500mph! Want to race a jet on the ground? Try a military jet such as an F-18 Hornet. If just the sound of it don't make you wet your pants, you can bet those afterburners will. I bet even an old WW2 P-51 Mustang can out run that Porsche on ground too.

this is retarded race of course the car is gonna win a 747 is heavy and needs time speed up but 747 would murder it if it got airborne and started speeding up more it goes 500 mph cruising speed but hey the 747 almoost won
