How rare is the white Serval? I've also seen a black one, both extremely gorgeous. They seem to be very very rare.

@xeotech1 Very, we have two at BCR and they are the only two that we know of in the world!

@BigCatRescue If they are rare why dont you breed them it will help the ''White'' Serval biut I know you don't breed but do it just this once, why not?

@RattyRaccoonDoggy White servals aren't any separate species, they are just a color mutation similar to white tigers, there's no reason to breed these cats.

Captive... while some people dont know very well you have to consider that these smaller breeds can be loved and need a home not every exotic cat owner has a lion in their home. It's silly to consider all privately owned cats as captive... I dont support BCR's insensitive ways of attempting to take privately owned cats like nero the bobcat from his loving owner. Educate correctly or dont take such a strong stance.

We believe we do educate correctly, wild species of cats should not be kept as "pets" it's as simple as that. They are meant to roam hundreds of square miles not be stuck in a cage in a backyard for someones amusement. You talk about bobcats and these cats can take down prey 8 times their own body weight, these are WILD cats and ARE dangerous no matter what size.
