  • Would it be possible to use the chip for shift register?

I want to light up some Leds, but not all at once (like a clock-every led stands for an hour).

So my question is, is it possible to control each of the output pins of the chip? If yes, is it possible to program the chip and how?

  • @Oshiba88 yes,. if you want to program the pic for lighting leds, you can use it. but pic clock is not working real time , so some delays may occurs.

  • @armadaantonyo So maybe a RTC (real time clock) like the DS1307 would help to avoid delays.

  • @Oshiba88 yes maybe it can work, but some delays will be occurs too :D I understand from your replies you want a real clock with pic

  • the circuit:

3- input buttons is connected 10k resistor,

Each one of 8 output leds is connected serial to 330 ohm resistor ,

    2- 22pf is connected 4Mhz crystal.
