The lead vocals for this version of Carson Robinson's song: "Life Gets Tee'jus Don't It?" was recorded in August 1982 in a terraced house in Denton Grove, Anfield, Liverpool, UK. The singer is the late great Minnie Allen. A few years after she died in 2001, the tapes of this song were uncovered and alan neilson set about producing and writing a new version, using the original vocal take. This music video is the result. It features guest appearances by flautist Lynette Neilson, and backing singers in no particular order: Jo Stapleton, Martin Taylor, Andy C Neilson, Andrew G Neilson, Barbara Neilson, Joseph Neilson, Lynette Neilson, Debbie Radford, Charley Radford, Angie Fanshawe, Phil Fanshawe and alan neilson himself, who also played the remaining instruments.
The copyright of the lyrics is owned by Music Rights Ltd and permission was granted to elementary recordings to use them, and they released the song as an ep in 2009. This is available as download from iTunes or hard copy direct from www.elementaryrecordings.co.uk the E.REX Store.
I would like to thanks Jo Stapleton and Martin Taylor for their assistance in making the video and allowing me for steal unused section of their film "Buoy".
Please share this video with everyone you know and remember that life is never tedious as long as you love and live your life.
