Freiburg im Breisgau

Freiburg was established in the twelth century as free market town. This is where the word Freiburg is coming from. The city is situated in the Breisgau region at the western part of the Black Mountains.

The Augustinerplatz is Freiburgs central place where you can find a number of restaurants and bars, including a brewery.

Not far from Freiburg is the Kaiserstuhl region. Beside a lot of agriculture the Kaiserstuhl also has a lot of touristic opportunities, like hiking and cycling.
