Own Sphere Grid, Rikku Only, No Items, No Overdrives, No Customise, No Spare Change

After I got to the Calm Lands I did some monster capturing and then fought Ogres in the arena until I got a Tit-for-Tat (Counterattack). I also beat the trainer in the Chocobo race for a Level 3 Key Sphere, which opened up the section on Rikku's grid with two Strength +4 nodes.
I couldn't attack Defender X directly because it sometimes counters with Blast Punch, which halves the target's current HP, and any damage on top of the Defender's attacks and Haymakers would be too much for SOS-Regen to handle. As a result Rikku can only deal damage with Counterattacks, which meant this battle was very long and boring.
All the 'strategy' involved was using Defend before each of its turns and switching weapons to maximise Regen healing. Just mashing triangle wouldn't have worked because Defend is a Rank 2 action whereas switching is Rank 1, and lower Rank actions slightly increase the healing rate from Regen.
If you look at Rikku's HP after every Haymaker you'll notice her HP is gradually dropping as the fight goes on, and it is actually possible to lose just with bad luck from the RNG (getting fewer crits, Haymaker generally doing higher-than-average damage and so on).
Sorry for the poor video quality. Also the recording skipped slightly at around 8:02 in the second part, no idea why.
