An unheralded name entering the 2011-12 season, Crane's Willie Conner has simultaneously kept his team relevant while putting himself on the map. With a host of D-1 schools on his trail, the 6-4 senior guard continues to make major waves both in the Red West and the city of Chicago, and has established himself as the next in the line of great Crane guards (Tony Allen, Will Bynum, Sherron Collins and Dion Dixon to name a few). Dan Poneman caught up with Willie after taking in a classic Red West game between Whitney Young and Marshall.
