The Washington Nationals ballpark is the first stadium to be LEED Silver Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Yet the Nationals continue to accept millions of advertising dollars from Exxon, by far one of the world's biggest contributors to global warming.

We've had early success in our campaign as Exxon has already stopped sponsoring the 7th-Inning Stretch. Now we're looking to have the team's assurance that the park will never sell corporate naming rights to the oil giant.

  • I hate it when teams give their stadium naming rights to anyone

  • I'm tired of people bashing oil companies. Corporations like Exxon Mobil are simply meeting a demand. If you have a problem with oil, go after the people who create the demand. Let's face it, we are all addicted to oil. Oil makes much more than gasoline. All of your plastics are made from oil. It drives the production that makes every single product you buy. Stop being stupid by bashing companies that improve the quality of everyone's lives.

  • tht stadium is awesome went there for a tour while i was in balt. for two yanks gms!

  • go exxon

  • I was originally hoping they wouldn't sell naming rights to keep it traditional.
