@garcianator: It's amazing to hear to say this because I have been correcting Canadian posts on this issue for days. I can't understand why Canadians try to take credit for the actions of British soldiers... in fact, Canada wasn't even a sovereign nation in 1812... it never even declared independence (unlike the USA) and the last vestiges of British rule were removed in 1982 by an act of the British Parliament! Meanwhile, the USA has been running things since the 1700s!

When a soldier is killed in action and walks his last steps, he allows a whole nation to move forward, and take a whole step towards a better future, a better country, and a better world. Rest in Peace to our fallen troops. Vive le Canada, pour toujours!
