i read about this. it's not really bullshit because he bumrushed the show. seriously, if you just show up in a flatbed truck outside a well populated venue and start an impromptu performance your an idiot if you don't think you'll get arrested. with that said i still think it was cool that he did it. i'm a huge mos def fan and i think doing this at the MTV VMAs (which is the epitome of all the problems with the youth of america) was just brilliant.

Oh Alright. I heard it on MTV dot com where they said he didn't have a permit to perform. It's crazy man. But i still love mos Def anyway. ^_^

i bet mtv ratted his ass out to the police. cuz his song would scare away sponsors or some sht. why else would police dare to even interrupt a celebrity rap performance at a big MTV celebrity event. some powers that be ratted him out. fuck mtv.
