SSBB Link Technique: "Double Down Smash"

Yeah. "Double Down Smash" is the best I could come up with XD

SO! After reading that you could hit an opponent with both slashes of Link's Dsmash on a forum a while back, and accidentally doing it in an online match two nights ago (and getting the replay of it), I figured out the way to carry out the technique.

What you do is you throw the Gale Boomerang past an opponent, position yourself RIGHT NEXT to the person, and start charging the Dsmash. When the boomerang starts to come back, wait for the rang to be one character length away from your opponent, and release the Dsmash.

The person is hit by the first slash of Link's attack, is then pushed behind Link by the boomerang, and is hit by Link's second slash.

It looks like Toon Link's Dsmash, but is more complicated (it requires you to actually time it), and does twice the damage.

How much damage? I got it to 47% once before. 47%! That's 7% more damage than Peach's Final Smash! ...but they don't fall asleep and peaches don't fall from the air. =P

Note: It's very hard to actually hit someone with this. The person has to be right next to you when you do it, or the second slash will miss. So they basically have to be stunned in some fashion (sleeping, broken shield, etc.), because I doubt they will stupidly stand next to you when you are charging your Dsmash =P

I perform the technique 3 times at full speed, 1/2 and 1/4 speeds (it is HARD, surprisingly, to time it at 1/4 speed, hence why I screw up. The second computer was so I could see the boomerang coming, but I STILL failed).

Oh, and you can use this on opponents at a high damage too. XD

And (sorry for the massive wall of text) I think it works on every character. I did it on King DeDeDe, Ike, and Kirby (big, medium-ish, small), so it's safe to assume you can do it on anyone. But prove me wrong, so I can make a list here telling you what characters this doesn't work on.

link sucks he has no type of power moves at all and he mostly has items like bombs boomerrangs and arrows like the typical archer, whats so special about link?

Link isn't a typical "archer", he's a swordsman; he uses his sword most of the time, not his bow, boomerang or bombs.

An example of a good Link power move is his down aerial. Another is his fully charged forward smash (both slashes).

What did you expect him to be like? Ike? Nah, Ike is overpowered; you usually don't KO someone when they're only at 45% damage with a forward smash.

He's as special as everyone else in Brawl.

@DFNBunny no link sucks in brawl, he was okay in 64 and he was good in melee but in brawl he blows. Face it not every character is equal or balanced.
