Because Revan was not aware of his power. Ben was, and used his skills and the force in an other way than Revan did, a less aggressive way.

@menslady125 Sand People are easily Startled, but they will return, and in greater numbers-Ben Kenobi

@menslady125 Sand People will without any problems whatsoever, charge full on at Lord Revan, Possibly 1 of the most powerful people to have ever lived, in his prime while hes fully armed to the teeth, with mates with him, but a whole group of them run away from obi wan when he limps over all by himself aged and trying not to trip over a few rocks.
