You dont understand that gasoline taxes are meant to pay for roads. Most of the things we depend on like Fire Police Water Education are all paid for by state and local government. Thats how our republic was set up. So the states and even local governments would compete with each other. The state with the best roads infrastructure education etc would attract the best people and businesses. The Federal governments involvement in all these things undermines this idea and our way of life

Sweetie, 100% of the Federal Income Tax goes towards servicing the debt on the Federal Deficit. They are broke, now they are just printing money. PS I been on unemployment for maybe 3 mos out of my life and I've contributed over $200,000 in taxes in my lifetime, listen commie, check your facts, Medicare is broke, Soc Sec will pay out this year more than it takes in, Health Care Reform is O's plan to kill the seniors now that they can't afford them, God forbid we stop killing people overseas.

How would inflation run rampant if you were put back on a gold standard? By it's very definition, you can't inflate the currency.
One year ago many of the banks failed leaving investors with ZERO dollars left. (not even 50%). Currently the value of gold is incredibly depressed, so yes it could rise by 50% easily. If you are actually concerned about this, you should diversify in gold and other commodities.
Even if that happened not all prices would rocket up in a short time.

I did not say "paying taxes = good for country", I meant paying taxes = good for you. I believe that it's good to pay taxes, because gov. can do huge things with huge amount of money, which are good for all - like building roads. So paying is good, in long term for YOU if it's spent correctly. Example if you stop paying taxes and gov. cancels all well fare programs and America gets 50mil poor, uninsured people with nothing to loose. You think it will not effect you? That's my opinion.

at about 6:40 he says we didnt take the route of Gov't taking over the banks its been the other way around the Banks own the Gov't see Federal Reserve it is not controlled by congress never was its brainchild the IRS is a fraud and unconstitutional research this yourself when 3 former IRS Agents prove that the IRS Federal Income tax is illegal and fraudulent all 3 fight and win! then I listen!
They simply state show me the law, sadly income tax evasion puts peeps in jail still. Audit the FED!

'Only by coincidence'?.... I'm sorry but that's blatantly ignorant of how specific their predictions were. There's video of Ron Paul explaining exactly what will happen to Bernake at least in 2003, though he'd been warning earlier than that. The Austrian remedy hasn't been tried this time so how can they fail miserably? FYI: there's no "models" based on Austrian economics. It's simple common sense: save more, produce more (efficiently), get a healthier economy. Bigger g'vt distorts this process.

It is not a choice that I make. Far from it!
A fiat system would work if the power that controlled it could be trusted but when has anyone ever noticed that to be the case? Never. So in theory yes, but in the real world only for a time.

The Romans used milk and bread and entertainment to distract the masses. We now know that milk contains a molecule almost identical to morphine that calms a person down and bread also contains mood altering ingredients. No outside country is willing to spend money funding a revolution because they fell into the same fraudulent Fiat money system, they are broke and they still have to finance their militaries to protect them from their own citizens. Peaceful or violent, Revolution has started.
Philosophy is useless in the "real" world? Yea, OK, buddy.
