He's such an amazing explainer of things that you'd think a fair proportion of a 1967 audience must have been pretty convinced the transporter really worked. I read (quite a serious) book about the science of Star Trek a long, long time ago (in this galaxy): it isn't quite as easy as Leonard Nimoy so brilliantly makes it sound! Great man.

@YBBRadio I agree completely! You are not a real actor unless you publicly F** up royally on daily basis or a son or daughter of a famous Actor/actress. I.e No experience necessary.

It's Amazing even after all this time playing Spock, His wonderfully strong and outgoing personal character completely abolishes being type-casted.

Do the stars of yesteryear seem more adult, more coherent...more intelligent (?!) than the vapid, shallow, fake "schmucks of the week" that are shoved in our faces today?

Leonard Nimoy is an amazing person. He's intelligent, gracious, and well, hot!

Back in those days, Leonard Nimoy was quite a mystery. He was only a name in the credits; we knew nothing about him for about 6 months. So we had time to conceive of the character Spock without the intrusion of reality. This made Spock more "real" than he would have been than today where stars are trotted out at outlets like ComicsCon for months to years before a film or show premieres.
Don't they know this kills the fantasy? How boring and how sad the world has become!
