Yeah I know many think Ipod is THE thing. Not just the Ipod but people believe Apple is the leader in innovation like the Chiclet or spaced out keyboard they have in their macbooks, when Sony actually made VAIOs with that keyboard years before the first Macbook but ask any apple fan boy and they'll say sony and other companies stole it from Apple :). They say you get what you pay for and sony can justify the price with the build quality and materials used. This walkman is amazing!

l0l the "Walkman" sounds bad? that thing started back in the late 70s and changed how you listen to music, made it portable. It was 1 of the firsts, you had no iPods or Zunes back then, you only had Walkman. It deserves respect for being a brand that stood for so long and will probably continue to represent music on the go. It's the grand dad to the portable music players u see now.

finally people who understand how good and better sony is, i seriously hate apple its big and it looks ugly and system seems kinda gay ... sony was always better imo but i defo want this i need a new walkman XD

@johnhinn1 my dear, i've been a brand loyal to sony since i got the sense of listening. Being an audiophile for years and an upcoming artiste, i respect the company because of the sonic standards they have been maintaining for years. u may b right, but looking back to my experience with sony for over two decades (including the service issues), i was completely satisfied everytime.

I strolled into a SonyStyle store and just out of curiosity played with it, I was floored with the sound quality, the Walkman OS, the build quality and MUSIC focused technology, tactile buttons and that granite body! Full on portable HiFi! Sony's got a winner here, we just have to share this with others.

I hate these kinds of reviews! They always cover only the features and not the actual quality of the sound! It's an mp3 player! I'm buying this sony x walkman because cnet was professional enough to review it as having the superior sound over the ipod touch or iphone, esp with its built in amplifier that helps to boost the sound quality.

never ever buy any sony walkman products in india bcz sony service center r really bad,they neither provide good servies insted they cheat u by charging u lot of money ???i purchased a walkman and my software of walkman got corrupt and i have purchased it for 5500 rs and sony service center r charing me 5000rs for it repair then wt is the use of buying there product whose repair cost so much ???it totally fuucks plz dont buy any sony product
