But one element that is often overlooked in the health care debate is the drastic cuts Democrats are envisioning for Medicare - amounting to $500 billion over 10 years, largely taken out of Medicare Advantage, a program millions of American seniors depend on and value for their health care.

Obamacare would be a disaster, but Medicare needs to be put on a serious diet. It's a FACT that seniors, at all income levels, receive huge health benefits that they NEVER paid for. eg. the new prescription drug benefit was paid for by you and me the young tax payer, NOT seniors. The taxes seniors paid while working are a pittance in comparison to the $ the government now spends on the average senior.

Senior citizens are the new welfare queens, and young people are getting screwed.

Sloppy, I hate to say this...but you're an idiot. This bill is not about healthcare. It's about health insurance. It will lead to rationing and reduced innovation in pharmaceutical fields. This will lower the quality of care exponentially as it has done everywhere else in the world. This bill will eventually lead to the denial of care that you liberals complain about insurance companies doing now. Only now you won't be able to go to court and sue to get the care.
