@superauctionstar The designs were cool but were poorly executed. The CRT displays in the Riviera and Toronado for example were prone to burn outs and malfunctions. Simple needle speedometers and knob controls are much better.

Back in those days cars designs were cool. America used to produce one of the most creative-looking cars, with cool tailights, grilles, etc. Granted, the Big-3 makes much more reliable cars today, but their styling is clearly aimed at European and Japanese competition. They need to bring back those cool AMERICAN looks to cars. Chrysler has done it with the 300 and Challenger and Chevy's bringing back the Camaro. Thank goodness.
