@jgtemplars that was wrx not sti and the lancer ralliart not evo x. Sti and Evo would without a doubt kill the cobalt on a road coarse. But i will give the ss some credit, seeing another boosted fwd car other than a freakin neon is nice.

That has got to be one of the best launches I've seen in a Cobalt. Very hard.

I had an EVO 8 custom built by DEVO, the former mechanics for AMS. After driving the cobalt SS turbo, I immediately sold the EVO for what I had in it and am buying a 4 door CASH. Best car for the lousy illinois roads. Like the genesis 2.0 turbo as well. We'll see, since I just got hit by that huge storm and got overwhelmed by water, and wife is ready to move the hell outta this SWAMP!

These cars aren't meant to go fast in a straight line they are meant to go fast around a track. If you want to go fast in a straight line then get a Viper or Corvette.

well cobalt isn't supercharged anymore. Running a T3/T4 .57 trim turbo in the car now, Dyno vids will be up tomorrow, new track vids next saturday

and I was the test car for all the C/A stage kits, right now running a modified stage 6 less heat exchanger, but soon all that comes off and the turbo goes in next week. Stay tuned for more vids

launching at 1500rpm and granny shifting.. I have a lot of hours of tuning in the car, whp at this track time was up in the high 270's (my max is 296 whp on pump gas) I didn't have the methanol injection in the car for this outing, so was limited in the amount of timing I could run. As for daily driving, car is great, and I avg @32mpg combined city and highway driving. Only thing I"m worried about at this time is the clutch since I"m still on the stock one

yeah I don't think he did.... just pit talk... anyway went a new personal best of a 13.366 last time out (1500rpm launch and granny shifting) still on the original stock clutch
