Ron Paul's fans have been complaining that he isn't being taken seriously. Now that he has a chance to win Iowa because of the lack of scrutiny he's had so far, people are starting to take Paul seriously and look at some of the crazy things he's said and wants to do. Ron Paul's fans don't seem to like that either. But, you can't have it both ways. If you want to be President, you don't get to limit the conversation to the Constitution, deficit cutting, and the gold standard. Your opponents get to pick things out of your record that they want to talk about, too, and Ron Paul has a lot of disqualifiers that make it impossible for him to be the next President of the United States.

You have rubbed Ron Paul's supporters the wrong way, just as with Noam Chomsky's supporters in your earlier vids. Conservatives need to openly state which libertarian ideals they support, and which they do not; and then they need to explain why (philosophically) they reject only certain aspects of liberty.
Give credit to Ronald Reagan for openly stating that the core of American conservatism is the philosophy of liberty.

A theory I have always liked is the one that says that losing candidates are good for an election (primaries or the big one) because they force the winning candidate closer to the will of the people. Ron Paul is one of the reasons (along with the Tea Party) that the current candidates have all moved to the right. That means that come November, the Dems will have to move further from the left. The race for POTUS is the big one but we have the entire House of Reps and 1/3 of the Senate too.

We have lost and are losing everyday our basic liberties. Government is the culprit. Unsupervised government will always make itself stronger at the expense of the governed. Always.
Ron Paul is the only candidate running who will change this process. ALL of the others, Republican and Democratic represent more of the same.
Let's give Paul a shot for four years.
