Well it might seem pretty basic but finding a noise can be pretty tricky at times, my hope is that you take the time to track down the source before you give up and start buying parts, perhaps the methods that I show here will help you to that end. You know I'm always trying to look out for you right?

As always, be dirty.

  • I can't find mechanic's stethoscope so I decided to make one. do you think if I could make it from medical stethoscope?

  • @mmarkomann You could but a long screwdriver really works so you might want to try that.

  • I spent over ten years as a software engineer. I debugged sofware and hardware systems.

Debugging a car problem takes all my skills I learned over the years to get it right - that's not including watching videos on youtube.

I think auto mechanics/techs are highly underrated in this society.

    theres the teg

  • @1967800 That is also the most important part of solving a problem, if you don't know the cause it's impossible to repair. BTW parts replacement is not a 'normal' part of diagnosis and should only be done if all other options have been exhausted.
