SWASTIKAS, although ancient symbols, were used as crossed S-letters for SOCIALISM under the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazis). The idea came from national socialists in the USA, such as Francis Bellamy and Edward Bellamy. The Nazi salute also came from them, from the Pledge of Allegiance and its initial military salute stretched outward to point at the USA's flag. America's Nazi salute was spread by Freemasons, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and Theosophists (who also used the swastika symbol in the Theosophical Society).

  • Great video. The stylized S-letters resembled an ancient German rune that was similar to the S-letter. The Bellamys influenced the NSDAP and its dogma, rituals and symbols (including the modern use of the swastika as crossed S-letters for "Socialism" under German National Socialism). Similar alphabetical symbolism was used under the NSDAP for the "SS" division, the "SA," the "NSV," et cetera and similar symbolism is visible today as the Volkswagen VW logo. See Dr. Rex Curry's work.
