  • This should be released on DVD.

  • It's only my opinion but I think that Dave Gilmour is at his best when he is paired up with people who have more talent and big noses i.e. Pete and Roger Waters.

  • @ruleta74835 It's an uneven batch of work, some of it too 80s to age well and too 60s to be 80s, but it includes this, "Let My Love Open the Door," "The Sea Refuses No River," and a few others that pretty much slaughter everything The Who put out. Check out his album with Ronnie Lane, Rough Mix (1977). Tracks are on YT. They both did amazing work, though Ronnie was already sick. Looking just at Pete, though, nothing as good as what he put into that album ever made it to The Who again. IMHO

  • I've been listening to this for decades, now and again, and it has come to me listening on this day, that not only in this song, but a few others, Pete is doing a bit of Dylan's talk/singing.

Always the great storyteller, if not sharing his deepest feelings, which run pretty deep here.

"May I be Matched with you again?

Without your match, there is no flame."

    Peace.

    Rock

  • Pete is the best !!!

  • OMG, those beautiful blue eyes and such an amazing live performance. This song is superb on the album, but seeing Pete's face and sweat makes it just as incredible.

  • I've loved the Who since I was a kid in the 70's, but Pete's solo material from the 80's largely escaped me until now. Damn, he was good in these years.

  • is it you nicolas cage ?
