The day's debrief after day one of the America's Cup test session in New Zealand. See some blog video highlights of the day - direct from the chaseboat - and hear ORACLE Racing skipper James Spithill talk about his capsize.
I'm interested in the setup of the sunglasses. On a totally overcast day should they be, perhaps reefed back just behind the crown of the noggin?
I've noted that just after dark, The Quenstown strapmeinguys like to push the 'shades just above the monobrow. It's a bit difficult to work out what cool is.
Cool! Cart-wheeling cats. Imagine that on a 72 footer, yikes. Great video footage though. LOL, the Nespress ETNZ boys hooking starting marks already? Uh-oh. Looks like Jimmie-boy is showing a few battle scars already. So, what happens when both boats approach eachother on opposite tacks at a closing rate of 40 knots, the rudders cavitate and can't bear off?
i couldn't see a tow rope anywhere, did bmw oracle self right their boat???
