rubbish tank their needs to be atleast 3-6 inches of sawdust or hay for them to burrow in also there tails if to much pressure is applied can literally fall of so metal wheels are an absolute no only the plastic one ?

Prepare for battles when gerbils grow up - there are too many gerbils in one tank. And it's not good to use guillotine-like-spinning wheels. They cannot control their tails like mice can so the tail can get stuck to that. And besides that wheel is way too small for gerbils. Add more sawdust, gerbils like to dig.
