Led Zep did a live WMET concert in which, at the end of Stairway to Heaven, Plant sang instead of "and she's buying a stairway to heaven" He sang " Ninety five and a half rocks Chicago, W,M,E,T... AAAAAAAAhhhhhh AAAhhhhhhhhh"
It was AWESOME.
I had it on 8 Track but threw it out.

LOL LOL I would say that too. It was that same package used by their formal rival 'CFL!! But the Synergy package was like ahead of it's time!!!!

WDHF/WMET must have been a COOL radio station back in the 70s. I was born in September 1979, but WOW!!!!!

@tcidolfan People can say whatever they want good or bad about Top-40 radio back in the day. Done right, it was exciting, high energy, and fun to listen to. :)

True. But this was NOTHING like today's Top 40 radio!! This is AWSOME!!!! I believe my first listen to a WDHF/WMET aircheck was 10 years ago on the ReelRadio site!! And the jingles blew my mind!! And Captain Whammo's high energy was AWSOME!!!! And again, I wasn't even born at that time!!! LOL LOL One question though; When did they stopped the TM Synergy jingles and used the WCFL-type jingles??

@tcidolfan I think they changed shortly after the call letter change to WMET. I want to say it was TM Shockwave. I am not a jingle pro so someone else might know what the package was called.
