Wheelly: sheter in a cart for homeless. About the project

Using a wheel as a mobility and urban language, Wheelly is designed to be a shelter in a cart for homeless. Made by 100% recycled and recyclable materials - as rubber, aluminium and pressed paper - its technology is designed to give a total flexibility in usage, solving mobility, protection and transport problems in the same time. The aluminium frame and the 250 lt cloth bag, do not move while rolling, thanks to a roller bearing technology. Its thickness allows the cart to pass every door and its diameter allows the cart to step easily too. When needed, by two folding polyester resin tents - stored into the frame - the cart become a protected and intimate shelter with an insulated sleeping space and a collecting one where keeping the daily staff or recovering your pet.
Wheelly is designed to colonize and live all urban reality, on its own or connected to other identities, to create multible living shelter and unexpected colored allocations. Logos show companies who helped into the production or also give the opportunity to bring messages letting the cart to be less expensive or free. During the day Wheelly can be easily converted into a seat or a stall too.
Involve companies and governaments in social matters, and tought to be distributed by a NPO, the project try to change and give a new point of view about homeless conditions, by giving not only a shelter in a cart, but even an chance of reintegration.
