This is the best interpretation for me. I think Miyamoto was inspired on some kind of spanish music.

@thrasher218 Nope it's not. Still doesn't change the fact the guitar in the song had a distinct Flamenco style, which came from Spain. The rest of Gerudo Valley looks like a canyon or something you'd find in Mexico or even the South West states of the USA. Plus the desert, there is plenty of that in Mexico.
