Don't make the mistake of just assuming a "PC" has to have Microsoft Windows installed on it. Most Mac users criticize the operating system that most personal computers use (Microsoft's). Some even criticize the hardware, which is laughable. If you don't like Microsoft Windows technically you can put whatever operating system you want on your PC. Linux, Windows, or even a custom OS if you want to. Mac sacrifices flexibility for security. There are no free lunches...

Anyone with common sense can avoid viruses. I'm not about to run away from Microsoft Windows just because some people decide to click strange links or go to strange websites anymore then I'm going to stop eating food just because some people have decided to consume poisonous substances.

Windows has flaws but so do Apple products.

By the way, you can install Linux on a "PC" (Personal Computer). Linux is more secure than Mac.

It is just enough to go to geekbench and look the scores of iMacs and PCs. A 2000 Euro iMac get wiped by a 1100 Euros PC. sImple as that. It jus fact, price/performance a custom PC wins.

Custom PC all day. Macs are for hairdressers and hipster queer-bait. The point I was making is that Mac users generally don't know dick about computers, so they buy the shiny one and don't care that it's double the price of a custom built PC, seriously, they don't care. They're buying their Mac as a fashion accessory that has the added bonus of letting them access the net.

Think about it, when a pc user's pc has something wrong with it what do they do, they go out and buy the part needed, what do mac users do, they buy a new mac, now why the hell would I want to spend over $1000 when my computer has a problem, when I can just solve the problem by fixing it?
