@mikeathiest nice setup man, i tryed this twice before with spur's and substrate all bought from shop, guy said just inject with needle into the plastic lunchbox tubba wear thingy and put in dark place for a while and take out and good to go... easier said than done. every time, green mold in a day or two.. in your fish tank? all ya have is them hydro balls and thats it? any tips

@PeruvianToker Just lay a layer of perm a few inches thick on the bottom of a chamber(tubber wear box, aquarium, ect.) and lay a single piece of foil in between the cake and substrate. Mist several times a day and you should be good.

@mikeathiest thanx broskii.only need help with 1 more thing.what should i use to birth my cakes into when their ready? i have an almost empty bag of vermaculite,a full small bag of perlite, bag of potting soil, aaaaaaand store bought cow manure.so many forums say to do different thing the knowledge can get overwhelming
-
@PeruvianToker Im not to sure about that. I know there are a lot of variables that will effect your yield such as not enough or to much water, temp, overall care, ect. You can slice the cake in half to make two cakes but I dont know if it will increase your amounts. Some people even stack 1/2 pints on top of each other, others say you should cut pints in half. Im going to just leave mine as is.
Those who are saying he birthed too early are retarded...they WERE 100% colonized. Once the cake is birthed, it should be immersed in water for about 24 hours, then removed, and rolled in dry vermiculite before being placed in the fruiting chamber. THAT is what you are seeing as a cake that is not 100% colonized...a 100% colonized cake that was rolled in dry vermiculite.
