If you can't afford or can't find the custom, competition-grade double-ended pen-spinning pens, you can easily make a decent double-ended practice pen from Bic Ultra Round Stic Grip ball-point pens. The result is a nice, well-balanced pen that spins well, bounces quietly when the inevitable drops happen, and also works nicely as a pen! At the end of the video is a link to Parixer's excellent pen-spinning tutorial channel. NOTE: Since I made this vid, I've discovered that adding small screws as weights to the end of the caps results in better balance. Also, you don't have to cut the inkwells so short. Just trim about 4 mm and then slide them past each other. They will fit side-by-side in the pen body and the result is a slightly heavier, quieter pen.

  • Nice tutorial! I use a chopstick and insert it at the end then hit it on the ground to get the end cap out!

  • @TheNomlack Thanks for watching! I've not been practicing lately, need to get back to work on charge. Can't do more than one rotation, then it slips out of position. Frustrating.

  • getting the back out of the pen tube was hard, but overall great and helpful tutorial!

  • @addicted2music321 Thanks, if you have time try the trick of gluing small weights such as BBs or little screws right to the end - really helps the balance. (I'm spinning one with such a mod right now!)

  • sTEVE I KINDA DO THE EXACT SAME COMBO :D Put i do twisted sonic with my palm face down then before the .5 spin i turn palm up then thumbaround i catch on my 3-4 fingers then sonic rise up then warped sonic then twisted sonic (Double charge) after shadow to index finger figure 8 infinity x2 ,x3 x4

  • @criplets I'm working on this - man it is frustrating! But I am not giving up. Thanks!

  • @JrMina25 nice :D

  • for beginners this is just one of the most common used mod. a good tweak(if you may) is to add a pilot G1 grips on the caps and put uniball signo tips(only if you're not going to shift early to other pen mods like RSVP MX or comssa etc).

and another thing: you want to save cash and want to learn the "fundamental" tricks, a regular RSVP ballpen is enough. it's a waste of cash if you'll just after a good looking mod while you still suck at pen spinning...

  • @KaitouKiddo0416 i think they're the same just as long as it has the detachable part(from the grip and ball tip) you're good to go...

  • @KaitouKiddo0416 mine doesn't have ultra in it but if the pen is like a tube its good enough.

  • @tremor1016 thanks i got my pen and i making one now. :)

  • @JrMina25 if you're a beginner then go for bictory mod like on this video.

  • @KaitouKiddo0416 what you'll be looking for is just the pen itself. if it has the detachable part with the grip like on the video then you're good to go.

  • can i use bic round stic grip for this ? coz mine doesn't have ultra XD

  • Hm how long have you been spinning?
