This excerpt was recorded from a benefit concert Pete had organised for the Colombian Volcano Appeal at the Royal Albert Hall, in London, on February 9th, 1986.. It starts off with a 60 second interview where he is his usual obstreperous self and concludes with a version of "I'm one" that he introduces as from Quadrophenia.

Well RCPR83 my response to that is that I think that every fan of Pete Townshend thinks that he wrote a song specifically for them. That is the genius of the man who wrote lyrics of a very personal nature, straight from the heart.

Pete's music, whether solo or played by The Who, spoke to me in a way no other music has even come close to. I'm not too embarrassed to admit his music can make me both laugh and cry.
