Stunning. This is one of many of Yagya's mindblowing ambient arrangements - Yagya: 'Rigning 6'. Taken from the album 'Rigning' on Sending Orbs [SO 011 LP]. Release date: 21 Jan 2009.

Release notes:

"Yagya has made a new album for us. We can't think of any other way to start this new, promising year as delightful. "Rigning" is the Icelandic word for "rain" and is Aðalsteinn Guðmundsson's third full-length, the previous one "Will I Dream During The Process?" bestselling on Sending Orbs, the first one "Rythm of Snow" on legendary out-of-print status on Force Inc. Yes, we think this album is a new step forward for Yagya and we think this album has the prettiest and saddest melodies ever on a dub techno/ambient record, but we most kindly invite you to be your own judge. And by buying either the CD or 2x12", you may even stimulate the Icelandic economy along your way. We're just confident this is going to be your first great purchase in 2009.

Icelandic producer Yagya (Aðalsteinn Guðmundsson) has been creating atmospheres through melody and sounds for more than a decade. A definitive member of the Thule Musik collective, Yagya also is known for his work as half of Sanasol and also the famed Plastic.

A student of computer science at the University of Iceland Yagya spends his free time creating music on his computer. He concentrates on atmospheres and moods and tries to reflect the beauty of the world around him in the sounds of his music. He seeks influence in the works of Gas, Philip Glass, Basic Channel, Brian Eno and anything that is true to itself and it's ideas. Yagya concentrates on the softer side of music and avoids heavy rhythms. He finds harmony and beauty in the simple sounds of nature and wants his music to flow naturally through the listener.
