Anita Morris - Santa Baby (A CROSSTALK Christmas Special)

This very rare recording of the classic "Santa Baby" was recorded for the Chicago radio show "Crosstalk with Ernie Manouse" back in the mid 1990's. Since Eartha Kitt was already on the show reading "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" we needed to find someone else who could do this song justice - Broadway and Film Star Anita Morris said she would give it a shot - and she did! I think it was a perfect match.

This piece touched me the most of any we had on our Christmas specials - it was recorded with Ms Morris' 15 year old son (now actor James Badge Dale). This would turn out to be her last public performance, as she would pass from us less than 4 months later due to cancer.
