I agree with a lot of what's said here... but you can't shut the whole program down... fire every last staff member that may have had ANY knowledge and prosecute wherever possible, but the student athletes there now cannot be held accountable... the committed to play for PSU. Shut PSU down is a little bit of a stupid statement. They should have FIRED paterno IMMEDIATELY... they should prosecute everyone involved to the fullest...

If what is stated here is true, the Grad Assistant is one of the reasons this wasn't stopped years ago by not trying to stop this horrendous act. The Grad Assistant was an adult and wouldn't feared for this life.

Next, if what is said here is true the D.A. is the number 1 reason this wasn't stopped years ago because he wouldn't investigate and charge the perpetrator.

And finally, what is wrong with this mother who let the D.A. get away with doing nothing. There was a media in '02.

By the way, this discussion of mother and DA.. that story is from '98. you are mixing up a things a little. What matters is that, SEVERAL people in the penn state area knew what the hell was happening but did not do anything... the98 scandal involves Sandusky showering up the child.. no rape then.

Your absolutely right the way our society protects the molester and even if their known to be repeat offenders they are allowed to be released in our neighborhoods because in many states they must be placed back were they were convicted!!!!!!
